Studley Castle

Project Overview

Whilst the project was approximately a 50/50 split between Structural Glazing and Aluminium Windows, the main focus during the tender process was to come up with a solution for the structural glazing.

The glazing was to provide a feature to the new swimming pool, spa and café within what was originally a stable block. RED’s understanding of the challenges around the use of Stainless Steel within a chlorinated environment was crucial to providing a solution which could be developed on a project specific basis and fully certified to meet the requirements.

The development has 210 bedrooms, a swimming pool and spa as well as a cabaret space extension to the existing stable block which links to the main building.

Studley Castle

We used RED Systems on the prestigious Studley castle development, from the offset up until completion they provided a quality, user-friendly service. RED went over and beyond with both safety and quality, I would not hesitate to use RED again or to recommend them to others.

Background

The historic Studley Castle and grounds were acquired by Warner Leisure Hotels in 2016. Warner were looking for a similar high-end finish as one of their other properties at Bodelwyddan Castle. Therefore, the same architect was brought on board to realise the design.

RED starting working closely with the architect, Pilkington and the main contractor soon after the acquisition. The main contractor changed during the early stages, but RED were recommended to the incoming contractor, BAM and retained as the preferred supplier.
