After six years in the pipeline, IQ’s Echo Street development is set to complete in July 2026 to provide 1,224 student beds across three towers.
We are delighted to be working alongside colleagues from B&K once again, this time to deliver the glazing for the Echo Street scheme. After six years in the pipeline, the development is set to complete in July 2026 to provide 1,224 student beds across three towers.
Located next to Vimto Park in the Whitworth Street Conservation zone, next to the gateway of Piccadilly and the North Campus of the University of Manchester the development will deliver much needed extra beds in the heart of Manchester’s student hub.
The 38,000 sq m project, which will take around two and half years to build, will consist of interlinked slim towers ranging from 27, 21 and 16 storeys.
Our North-West team started on site back in May to deliver the scheme which will consist of 1,224 student bedrooms, ensuite student clusters and common areas on the ground floor.
We will be installing 7000m2 of Technal FZ75 Soleal Next Minimal – which incorporated bespoke detailing to allow for a fully flush & anodised aluminium finish.
RED Systems Managing Director Michael Green said: “Building on a successful track record with our colleagues from B&K, we undertook a detailed, collaborative pre-construction analysis and are now delighted to be working alongside them once again to deliver the long-awaited Echo Street scheme.”
