Echo Street Tops Out

Landmark PBSA scheme tops out at 28 stories

Following on from our successful ‘Leonardo Hotel’ scheme, it’s been a pleasure to be working alongside colleagues from B+K once again, this time on the 1,224-bed Echo Street project.

A hugely rewarding project, we worked closely with colleagues from Technal to ensure we delivered on key architectural features, in particular, sightlines.

We created a bespoke design using their Minimal system, achieving a flush appearance externally with fully concealed drainage and a subtle mullion feature cap to provide a steel window aesthetic.

Due to be fully complete by summer next year, the scheme has now reached the build’s highest point. Topping out at 28 storeys, the tallest of three interlinked buildings will rise to 81 metres. The two other blocks will rise to 16 and 22 storeys.

The Manchester scheme, close to Picadilly Station, will create 142,000 sq ft of space with amenities including social and study spaces, private dining rooms, a cinema, karaoke rooms, and a residents’ gym.
