RED Systems and NorDan UK Strengthen Customer Offering Through Joint Venture

RED Systems and NorDan UK Combine Expertise in New Partnership.

NorDan acquires a majority shareholding in RED Systems to combine their manufacturing excellence with RED’s acclaimed installation, SFS and aluminium façade services.

RED Systems, one of the UK’s leading commercial glazing, aluminium façade and window specialists, has announced a partnership with NorDan UK. Part of the Norwegian based NorDan Group, the deal helps cement RED’s position as one of the UK’s largest and most diverse glazing specialists.

The partnership will combine family owned NorDan’s long-standing manufacturing expertise and product performance, with RED Systems’ proven UK delivery capability, enhancing the overall service offering to customers across both their commercial and residential markets.

RED Systems will continue to offer their full range of aluminium commercial projects both on high risk and non-high risk buildings across the UK, and the NorDan partnership will now enable them to offer a single, coordinated delivery approach for projects that require the design, supply and install of timber / aluminium (composite) products or a combination of composite / aluminium, which has seen a surge in demand, particularly in the large-scale residential sector.

Speaking about the partnership, RED System’s founder and Managing Director Mike Green said: “This is a hugely exciting time for us here at RED and a significant milestone in our 22-year history. I am delighted that we have found a company with aligned values and complementing products that will help deliver industry leading products and service.”

RED Systems will be retaining a significant shareholding interest in the company moving forward and the RED team, including the current Board of Directors, will be continuing to be responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day operation of the business.

Through the partnership, customers will benefit from closer alignment between product manufacture, technical support, and project delivery, providing improved coordination, consistency and service throughout the project lifecycle.  The collaboration also enables the integration of aluminium systems and SFS (structural framing systems) alongside NorDan’s timber alu-clad product range, allowing more complete and coordinated façade solutions to be delivered through a specialist delivery team in single subcontract package. This approach is expected to reduce interface risk, simplify procurement and improve programme certainty for customers.

The RED / NorDan partnership reflects a shared commitment by both businesses to ensure quality, reliability, and long-term customer relationships, while creating a platform for sustainable growth in the UK market.

Mike Green went on to add:

“We’re proud of the business we’ve built at RED Systems, particularly our reputation for delivering high-quality, design-led façade solutions. In NorDan, we’ve found a partner that shares our values, our approach to quality and our long-term commitment to clients. This was an important decision for us, and it was critical to align with a business that strengthens, rather than changes how we operate.”

Craig Greenwood, Managing Director of NorDan UK, said:

“We’re really pleased to welcome RED Systems into NorDan UK. This is about bringing together two businesses that already share a strong focus on quality, collaboration and delivery. For our customers, it means a stronger, more capable delivery proposition. We’re strengthening our ability to support projects earlier, work more closely with partners and ultimately deliver better, more coordinated outcomes on site.”

Dag Kroslid, CEO of NorDan Group, added:

“Across the NorDan Group, our focus is on maintaining high standards of quality and performance, while continuing to develop our capabilities in line with the needs of our customers and the market.

The investment in RED System is a new important step for NorDan in the UK market that brings together complementary expertise and strengthens how we support our customers across the building envelope. It reflects our consistent approach to growth, where quality and long-term performance remain central.  The announcement of this joint venture is a proud moment for NorDan, and we look forward to a great cooperation with RED Systems.”

Johannes Rasmussen, CMO NorDan Group and member of the NorDan founding family, also pointed to the shared values underpinning the partnership, noting the strong alignment between the two organisations in how projects are approached and delivered, and the importance of maintaining that consistency as the business continues to grow.

The partnership comes at a time when the UK construction sector is responding to increased regulatory requirements and a growing need for clearer accountability across the building envelope.

Both organisations will continue to operate with a strong focus on their respective strengths, while collaborating closely to support customers, consultants and contractors across a wide range of projects. Existing customer relationships and project commitments will remain unchanged.
