We are delighted to be joining forces with fellow contractors, consultants and infrastructure specialists, as one of 24 founding members of the Knowsley Wellbeing Alliance.
The programme will be delivered by Grow CIC at Bowring Park, turning collective business investment into structured activity for the community.
The initiative, which is centred around the regeneration of Bowring Park, is designed to kick-start a coordinated commitment to create measurable social impact in the borough. Led by the team from Oneday Ltd, in partnership with GROW CIC, we will be involved in delivering an innovative, sustainable campus, focussed on developing skills and improving wellbeing, which will in turn improve the local environment and create positive employment pathways.
Plans include community gardening sessions, guided wellbeing walks, forest school programmes and nature-based activities designed to boost physical activity, reduce isolation and strengthen community connections.
We will be working alongside colleagues from a range of high-profile construction businesses including Morgan Sindall, MJ Quinn, Alumasc Roofing, Summit Marine Scaffolding, CARA Brickwork and Ridge Built Environment Consultancy, reflecting a real, cross-sector commitment to Knowsley’s future.
Knowsley remains one of the most economically challenged boroughs in England, with long-standing health inequalities and lower-than-average physical activity levels. Research shows that well-managed green spaces can play a key role in improving mental wellbeing and supporting healthier lifestyles — particularly in areas facing deprivation.
Speaking about the collaboration, RED Systems Director of Organisational Development, Lisa Morris said: ‘We are very honoured to be part of such an exciting and well thought out initiative. The inclusive, supportive and highly sustainable focus of the scheme aligns strongly with our culture here at RED, and we are looking forward to seeing what we can achieve with our colleagues from across the industry.’
‘By channelling our intentions into structured, measurable impact at Bowring Park, we stand a much better chance of making a real impact. By working closely with a range of fellow founding members, we have been able to develop a clear delivery plan, that will enable us to create long-term change.’
