Glengall Road

Project Overview

A major post-graduate student accommodation project for the London School of Economics (LSE), Glengall Road has been a challenging yet highly rewarding project for our London team.

Working in partnership with FPMcCann on this project, we were appointed to install all windows, doors, curtain walling and perforated panels. Collaborating closely with main contractor Equans once again, the £140m scheme involved the construction of a new, 15-storey halls of residence, comprising of 676, highly energy efficient student dwellings, with additional facilities including an onsite gym, external courtyards, roof terraces, shared kitchen spaces, a cinema room, laundry room and admin offices.

With sustainability at the very top of the agenda, we worked closely with the Equans team, to ensure we developed a smart, energy efficient solution to help drive down carbon emissions and reduce fuel bills.

The Solution

We used sophisticated self-developed digitalisation at the off-site facility to ensure all the window variants were accurately tracked and installed into the correct pre-cast panel. The use of bespoke digital technology enabled us to ensure a high level of precision throughout, which is crucial for projects using pre-cast panels.
