Novotel Hotel, Liverpool

Project Overview

RED were appointed as the glazing sub-contractor to provide the curtain walling, windows and doors to this city centre hotel development. It was important to the client to achieve clean lines and a distinct aesthetic appearance whilst providing a high thermal and acoustic performance – we were able to tick all the boxes for these requirements and deliver a great finished result.

This high profile, 209 bedroom property was the 3rd Accor Hotel in our portfolio. This represented one of our most successful client relationships.

The hotel is located in a bustling part of the Liverpool City Centre and has helped fulfil the demand in hotel accommodation from the legacy of being the European Capital of Culture in 2008.

The Novotel Proiect went well and we have had a successful handover. My requirements for budget, safety and quality were continuously met. RED Systems were very proactive and I would highly recommend using them on future projects.

Design

The project had an extremely high acoustic specification (45db) which demanded a huge amount of planning of during the design development stage.

The job threw up several issues throughout the build, not least the lead joinery sub-contractor going into administration. We overcame this by completing the joinery package ourselves with little or no disruption, on time and on budget.
