Dalston Curve

Project Overview

Dalston Curve is a six-storey, multi-purpose building of apartments and retail units which dominates the skyline in Hackney, east London. RED Systems were responsible for delivering the glazing and some structural requirements for the project.

The 15,000sq ft Dalston Curve project is part of a wider regeneration scheme in the London borough of Hackney which also includes improved transport links in the capital, new housing projects as well as retail and commercial schemes. It is split across two sites in the urban sprawl in one of the most densely populated areas in London. A diverse population also means different schemes are needed to make sure Dalston Curve is a welcoming and prosperous venture.

Dalston Curve They said...

We had about 20 workers on the project down in Hackney and it was great to see the transformation from what Dalston Curve looked like when we started on the scheme two years ago to what it looks like now.

Michael Green, Managing Director
Delivery

RED Systems was responsible for delivering the curtain walling, windows, shopfronts, balconies and balustrades for the Dalston Curve project which was split across two sites in Hackney and built over one of the capital’s many railway tunnels – a logistical challenge embraced by all the contractors involved in the transformation.

As experts in structural glazing, aluminium windows, doors and a variety of other systems, the company worked with a number of partners to help deliver the scheme on time and within budget. Bennett Construction were the main contractors for Dalston Curve and took part in all logistical meetings and plans.
